In June 2025, the International Network for submarine Canyon Investigation and Scientific Exchange (INCISE) held its 7th International Symposium in Barcelona, Spain. Hosted by the Marine Sciences Institute (ICM) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the event brought together around 50 scientists.
A joint presentation titled “Uncovering 20+ Years of Sleeping Data from Mediterranean Submarine Canyons: Insights from the DIGI4ECO and REDRESS Projects” was delivered, emphasizing collaborative activities and outcomes of these two projects. The presentation provided valuable insights into long-term datasets and their implications for understanding Mediterranean submarine canyon ecosystems.
This contribution highlighted the symposium’s goal of fostering international scientific exchange and cooperation.
