DIGI4ECO was represented at the International Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) Conference, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 17 to 19 June 2026. The event brought together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and sustainability experts from around the world to discuss the latest developments in social sustainability assessment methodologies and applications.
During the conference, our esteemed partner STRATAGEM presented the work entitled “Hotspot Social Life Assessment and Stakeholder Prioritization in Data-Driven Marine Monitoring Technologies”, showcasing how social sustainability considerations can be integrated into the development and deployment of innovative marine monitoring solutions.
The presentation explored the application of Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) methodologies to identify potential social hotspots across the value chain of data-driven marine monitoring technologies. It also highlighted approaches for stakeholder prioritization, helping ensure that the perspectives and needs of key actors—including researchers, technology providers, policymakers, coastal communities, and environmental stakeholders—are effectively considered throughout the innovation process.
Participation in the conference provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the international S-LCA community, exchange knowledge with leading experts, and showcase DIGI4ECO’s commitment to responsible innovation.
