DIGI4ECO was represented at the 16th European Conference on Ecological Restoration (SERE 16) through a scientific poster developed in collaboration with the projects ECOREST and REDRESS.

Entitled “Spatial and temporal variability of motile benthic assemblages across Mediterranean Vulnerable Marine Ecosystems” the poster presented research focusing on the spatial and temporal dynamics of motile benthic communities within Vulnerable Marine Ecosystems (VMEs) across the Mediterranean Sea.

The joint contribution brought together expertise and research connected to DIGI4ECO, ECOREST and REDRESS, highlighting the importance of collaboration across European initiatives working towards a better understanding, monitoring and restoration of marine ecosystems.

Participation in SERE 16 provided an important opportunity to share scientific knowledge with the wider ecological restoration community and to demonstrate how research, environmental monitoring and innovative approaches can contribute to understanding changes in vulnerable marine habitats.

Participation in events such as SERE 16 helps ensure that project knowledge reaches relevant scientific and restoration communities while opening new opportunities for collaboration towards healthier and more resilient marine ecosystems.
