On 9–10 March 2026, the DIGI4ECO consortium gathered in Barcelona, Spain, for the 24-Month Project Meeting, kindly hosted by project’s coordinator ICM-CSIC (Institut de Ciències del Mar).

The two-day meeting brought together partners from across Europe to review project progress, exchange insights and plan the next steps as the project moves forward.

During the meeting, Work Package Leaders presented the progress achieved so far, highlighting key milestones, recent developments and upcoming activities across the project.

A highlight of the meeting was the presentation and demonstration of the eDNA sampler- developed through the iNest project D4BLOND by Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn- a key technology that will be deployed at the OBSEA demonstration site.

The meeting also welcomed representatives from the SEADITO Project, who joined the discussions as part of DIGI4ECO’s clustering activities.

As DIGI4ECO enters its second half, the meeting served as an important milestone for the project, enabling partners to reflect on achievements, coordinate upcoming work and continue building a strong collaborative framework for the months ahead.

A big thanks to ICM-CSIC for great hospitality in Spain and all partners for their active participation and valuable contributions.
