Morane Henry from GEOMAR represented the DIGI4ECO project at the Digital Ocean Forum 2025, held in Brussels on 27–28 November 2025.
The Digital Ocean Forum 2025 was an event to share the advances of the European Digital Twin Ocean platform and to further co-design it. This event brought together many EU Horizon Europe project leaders, experts and stakeholders in the co-design and co-creation of the European Digital Twin Ocean in the frame of the EDITO project.
A high-level public event opened the scene with interventions from several European Commission’s Directorates showcasing how the EU Digital Ocean platform contributes to the implementation of the EU Ocean Pact, the Global Gateway and the UN Decade of Science for Sustainable Development. It was followed by a technical workshop to further engage EU Horizon Europe projects and onboard their innovative assets on the platform. The event was also an opportunity to gather feedback and requirements for future developments with a strong user-centric approach.
Representing DIGI4ECO, Morane followed the latest European developments on Digital Twin Oceans (DTOs) and actively networked on behalf of project partners, connecting with students, coordinators, and collaborators whose work aligns to DIGI4ECO. Furthermore, she attended two workshops on Data and Model, where participants were invited to share their input and later engage in discussions with the chairs and the audience.
