From June 11–15, Damianos Chatzievangelou, from our project coordination partner ICM-CSIC visited the summer school of the German project iFOODis – Improving the Sustainability of Food Cycles through Intelligent (Robotic) Systems at the Kristinenerg Center for Marine Research and Innovation in Fiskebäckskil, Sweden.

On Friday, June 13, an hour-long lecture focused on monitoring fishery resources and included the DIGI4ECO project’s  activities as a prominent example of using robotic technologies and the digital twin of the ocean as a tool to monitor Norway Lobster populations.

The audience included more than 20 participants, ranging from established researchers to PhD and MSc students, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary interest in the application of smart technologies to marine sustainability challenges.
