DIGI4ECO project’s esteemed partner, ICM -CSIC, participated in a bilateral meeting with the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC), on 17 February 2025, in Barcelona, Spain.

This collaborative meeting brought together 16 researchers, including nine representatives from the Institute of Marine Sciences of the Spanish National Research Council (ICM-CSIC).

During the session, ICM-CSIC presented an overview of DIGI4ECO project, detailing its objectives, technological components, and key research directions. The discussion also facilitated an exchange of insights regarding the current EU landscape for the DTO, emphasizing strategies for environmental modelling and spatial scaling of ecological data.

Furthermore, discussions took place regarding potential joint EU initiatives that could enhance research and innovation in digital environmental monitoring.

This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening partnerships within the scientific community, ensuring that DIGI4ECO remains at the forefront of cutting-edge developments in ecological modelling and digital twin technologies.
